Ever think of a time and place when there was no "you"; a time before..... Just recently I came face to face with an excerpt from BP(before Peggy).
My girls were going through some of Mother's things including a box of letters she received from my dad during WWII. It is a hard thing to read love letters to your mother even if they are from your father! In one of the letters, Daddy mentioned that "family thing" Mother had written about, and wondered if she still felt the same way. Becky was reading it aloud and I don't think either she or Cindy got it at first. That "family thing" was ME! That got me to thinking about Jeremiah1:5 : "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart." Before that "family thing" was ever discussed, God knew me. Psalm 139:3 says "He created my inmost being and knit me together in my mother's womb", but even more eye-opening is Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
On October 31,1946 my journey began. In the spring of 1970, sitting in my living room at Balsam Manor Apartments in the middle of the night, holding my little Bible in my lap, I said, "Yes, Lord", and He has never left me nor forsaken me.
Before we can fully comprehend what those precious words mean we must ask ourselves a couple of questions.
Do you believe God? Not believe in God, but believe Him and what He has to say.
Do you believe God is able to do what He says He will do?
Exercise your faith muscles! We have to believe Him, not just believe in Him. When you do, His
Word will come alive in your situation. Right here, right now, in 2010!
Dear Christian friend, before you were born, God knew you and had a plan for your life. With that in mind, be secure in who you are for you are a child of the King.
Dear friend, if you do not know the closeness of a relationship with God, please visit me again. I will never beat you over the head or try to make you feel guilty. Too many well meaning Christians try to do God's work for Him. He doesn't need any help. If you seek Him, you will find Him and the rest is indescribable.
I'd love to hear your thoughts. I'd love to answer any questions you may have. That will help me to grow as well as share what I have learned. I am new at this blogging stuff. I simply want to share the amazingness of God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Joseph; the God of King David and St. Paul; the God of each of His beloved children in 2010.
Please visit again.
